05 How to Fold Your Resume

  1. Print. Press Ctrl+P (or click the button below). Print at 100% scale on A4 paper. Make sure "Background graphics" is enabled in your print settings.
  2. Cut. Cut along all the solid outer lines with scissors or a craft knife. You will end up with a shape that looks like a large triangle divided into four smaller triangles.
  3. Score. Using a ruler and a blunt edge (like an empty pen), score firmly along the three dashed inner fold lines. This creates crisp, clean creases.
  4. Fold the top. Fold the top triangle (Experience) downward along the horizontal dashed line so it sits on top of the center triangle (Contact).
  5. Fold the sides. Fold the left triangle (Skills) and right triangle (Projects) upward along their diagonal fold lines, bringing all three flaps together.
  6. Seal. Use a small piece of tape along the meeting edges to lock the shape. You now have a 3D tetrahedron with your resume on every face.
Each face of the tetrahedron contains a different section of the CV: contact info on the base, experience, skills, and projects on the three visible sides.

The printout folds into a 3D origami tetrahedron.
